Aug 07 Tree falling into the ocean
Summer 2006 has seen the worst levels of erosion on the beach at Stable Road since 1999. On August 7th, we lost around 1 foot of beach in spots - and this was the final straw for one of the old trees which was hanging on by its last couple of roots.

Beach Blog
A brush fire on the Kahului Airport side of Stable Road caused the shut down of 3 of our cameras Saturday morning. As flames lept 100 feet into the air we watched in fear and horor as the Maui Fire Department and the Kahalui Airport Fire Department fought for 10 hours to bring the blaze under control.
