Hey, I was on the radio mates! Last night I made a guest appearance on Maui’s Windsurf Talk Story Radio Show on Wednesday evening. The show was hosted by windsurfing young guns Connor Baxter and Bandt Roediger. It was a really fun experience for sure. These two guys have a career in broadcasting when they hang up their harnesses, which I hope is a long way off!
The whole show was dedicated to your favorite website, mauiwindcam.com, and the two sailors aided by Mike Abrams and Norm Roediger peppered me with some very informed and in depth questions about the site. ”It’s the first thing I see when I open my browser in the morning.” said Connor Baxter. Cool dude!
I was so impressed at the whole pro way they put the show on. And just as much about their knowledge and concern for the sport. If these guys are our (and the sport’s) future, it looks very bright indeed.
Later in the show the lads delved into my career as an artist which is a story into itself. The hour just seemed to fly by so they asked me to return to the show to talk more story another time.
If you missed the broadcast a recording of this episode of Windsurf Talk Story Radio Show will be available on-line shortly. Watch this space for a link to this fun and informative evening. Many mahalos to Bandt, Connor, Mike and Norm.

It is always nice to check in on our old friend, Ray Masters and see what he has been up to - it has been MANY YEARS (TOO MANY) since we have seen him and we would love to be able to catch up sometime. Barbara & John Hernandez

It is great to see how young people, when given the opportunities, usually exceed our (read the older people) expectations. Too bad many aspects of our society has not yet caught on to the fabulous energy, passion and intelligence that is available in our youth. During these last few years windsurfing has really showcased young sailors… and for good reason. I hope this is not a trend but a new direction.
