Kachina gets quoted in MauiTime!

Kachina (pictured right in her library, pawing over the works of Keats) has made it into print with her poem tribute to Rope Tree, originally featured here on mauiwindcam.

Rope Tree falls!
September 16th, 2006Today marked the end of an era for the Stable Road community, when at 11:45 Rope Tree fell to its death. We’d already witnessed several trees fall this summer as a result of the high levels of beach erosion, including hammock tree.
Rope Tree was a true landmark, and will be sorely missed. As a result, we are running a tribute page where you can enjoy some of our favourite rope tree moments and sign its book of condolences.

Windguru forcasts added to mauiwindcam.
September 13th, 2006The windguru weather forecast for Maui has been added to the live view page. This is the best fully integrated weather forcast chart on the internet and it will enhance the weather side of the mauiwindcam site greatly.
